New Direction for Energy Centre and Bruce Power Chair in Sustainable Energy Systems
SUDBURY, ON – Dr. Francois Caron will join MIRARCO as the Director of the Energy Center and as the Bruce Power Chair in Sustainable Energy Systems as of January 7th, 2019. Caron holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi (UQAC), a Master’s in Freshwater Science at the Institut National de Recherche Scientifique (U. du Québec, INRS) and a Ph.D. in Geochemistry from McMaster University.
François has experience as a scientist at Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) from 1991-2000 working in Waste Management Systems, Environmental Research, Reactors Emissions Reduction, and Reactor chemistry which will assist him in his new role.
